Alternative Calendar

Traditionally a calendar is a chart or series of pages showing the days, weeks, and months of a particular year. They are sequentially organized and have formal standards, nevertheless people mark time and seasonal changes in numerous ways. This project objective will is to first identify an audience, second to research what is significant for the person in the place they live and work.

Objective: Researched chosen data and translated it into a visible sequence of time

The chosen focus depicts the diversity of creative careers that span over numerous niches over recent centuries. Additional features include the careers’ intertwinement to one another. This piece encapsulates a diaspora of the number of niches or categories of occupations over time.

Sports Infographic

Around the world in communities and cultures there are many unique and exciting traditional sports. Most of these activities are confusing to outsiders. This project’s task at hand for this organic deliverable set was to use the power of visualizations to explain a chosen sport (Badminton) to others.

Seeing leads to understanding, and, as in any medium, it must engage, inspire, and inform us. The pertinence of any visual metaphors used and the balance between engagement and information was evaluated.

Personal Data

Digital platforms and mobile devices rendered us (mostly) unconscious industrial data producers. What happens when we start consciously collecting punctual data about ourselves, our daily habits or the most peculiar of our little obsessions?

Starting a systematic collection of personal data and designing a visual report helps to develop awareness and sensitiveness around the topic. The format and the language of this report reflects the nature of the data and
its personal significance.

Chosen execution depicts a “topographical” diversity of shoot locations over three different significant years within my career as a freelance photographer.
